Helpful Tips for Your Next Teleconference Call

Next time you are preparing a meeting via teleconference, keep these helpful tips in mind!

• At the start of the meeting, allow all participants introduce themselves so that everyone is familiar with each other and know who is participating
• At the start of the meeting, review the agenda (you may want to send the agenda to participants prior to the meeting)
• Choose a quiet setting to conduct the teleconference to eliminate any background noise that could be distracting
• Don't put your phone on hold while in the middle of a meeting, some phones have background music that could be distracting to the other participants. Instead, step away from the phone to take care of any other matter that may arise
• Last, but not least, recap the meeting and make sure there are no questions or misunderstandings
