The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed new
leadership this month with the announcement of this year's
Board of Directors.
Kevin Cantwell, President of Big River Telephone, was newly
elected to the Board of Directors for the 2006 year.
"The Cape Chamber was recognized as the finest Chamber in
the State of Missouri last year and I am honored to be part of
the leadership committee," said Cantwell.
Mr. Cantwell will serve on the Board of Directors with
other key members of the community, including James Limbaugh,
Montgomery Bank; Mike Jennewein, Procter & Gamble; David
Hutson, Hutson Fine Furniture; Rex Rust, Rust Communications;
Greg Deimund, Merrill Lynch Ozbun, Deimund, Beckham Group; Pat
Bira, Southeast Hospital; Kathy Bertrand, The Bank of
Missouri; Kim Kelley, Kelley Transportation Company; Rick
McLeod, Procter & Gamble Paper Products; and Scott Van de
Ven, Van de Ven, LLC.
The Board of Directors will work with the Chamber staff, as
well as President and CEO John Mehner, to work toward various
community goals during the upcoming year.
